The ScottNet® e-Document
system is the culmination of 14 years of document systems development for
companies ranging from Fortune 50 to small business. It is a
comprehensive and robust document creation / management system. It
offers the most features, but yet is easy to operate by even the most
inexperienced users.
It's completely web
based
Never again lose

lack of a valid software installation. Our system is completely
web based ensuring easy access inside your company or across the
world. That means no "plug-ins" required.
This system in known to operate with Internet Explorer
v2.x or later, Netscape v2.x or later, Opera v3.x or later, AOL tv,
WebTv, the QNX Voyager browsers, iPhone, Planet Web based browsers
such as Sega Dreamcast's browser, NeoPlanet's web browsers, and
Science Traveler International based browsers such as 1X. In
short we are compatible with everyone. One the horizon, we are
compatible with all WAP 2.0 based browsers used by PDA's, cellular
phones, and wireless tablet based devices.
It's secure
Our 4-tier
security system ensures the perfect security solution for your
documents. Additionally, each document has it's own security
system.
The system is easy
to operate. When your document's security requirement is high
you only have a little extra configuration at the time you create the
document. That's it. You can change security models
anytime thus giving you maximum flexibility.
Our system also
uses "communication by reference" methodologies that ensure
that data transmissions can not easily be "sniffed" off the
wire and "put back together". Using a trade secret and
proprietary methodology even your network administrator cannot
"hack" your document's data. Finally, since our system
is web based, you can also employ SSL, PCT, or other encryption
technologies to encrypt the data between the server and the
client.
That is why this
document system has been selected for use by defense contractors, high
end intellectual property managers, and other organizations who simply
cannot afford to have any of their data be compromised to unauthorized
entities.
Store Data / Store Files
Our system allows
your users to store both document data and files. All of your
project data can easily be located and accessed via a single
system. Our "reference anywhere" indexing system
allows you to link information from multiple network locations.
It's UETA Compliant
The Uniform
Electronic Transmissions Act is a federal law that allows for
contracts to be signed on-line. Our systems methodologies are
reliable, consistent, and secure, thus ensuring that any contracts you
create and sign using our system are valid contracts. This makes
our system an excellent solution for RFP's, paralegal document
services, attorney's, e-Billing, etc.
Establish document
standards for your organization
Our system uses an
object oriented design. Therefore, your organization's document
standards group can easily create and manage document standards.
Each "element" of the document has it's own "help
screen" where your document standards group can easily and asynchronously
communicate what the standards are for any particular document
entry. This ensures that all employee's can easily understand
where and how to place document data into the system. Your
document structures can be established on day one or day 5000.
The end result, a de facto based document standard that can easily be monitored
and managed, company wide.
Object oriented
documents ?!?
Over the course of
several years whether you are an ISO certified company or not,
documents and their associated structure change. Our system
allows for document structures to change while still maintaining
document content integrity. Additionally, for international
applications our system allows the different language versions of the
same document to be stored in the same file making it easy to switch
from one to another. Since all of your data is stored in a
single repository; searching, retrieval, and distribution are made
truly easy.
Another feature of
our design is that we can allow secured access to only some sections
of a document while keeping the content together. For instance,
for RFP's each vendor could see the same descriptive areas, while
keeping their individual bids separated from each other. To your
company the entire RFP exists in a single document !

dictionary size is not limited. We start you off with the English

system allows any number of individuals to collaborate at the same

easily collect data from your hardware devices. For example,
using a data acquisition interface, a manufacturing company could have
their machines update areas of a "production run" document
automatically. The synergy of human and machine collection and

have a minimum storage specification of 3 terabytes. Once a
facility reaches 20% utilization, we double storage capacity.
Based on 8 years of system utilization, if every person in the
world submitted document updates every hour of every day, it would
take 2 years to fully utilize our current storage capacity.
